Kids forget so fast. They can treat you like shit and make you so angry at them, and then an hour later come and show you something that makes them laugh. And if you can’t let go of this anger and you treat them coldly, you feel like there’s a lead shot weight in your stomach. I suppose they’ve just reverted back to how they feel about you deep down-the average-set throughout their lifetime. Realising this makes the lead shot weight feel a little lighter…but it’s still there.
